This is because snow monkeys at Jigokudani are loved, treated well and conserved by people so that they are not aftaid of us. Meanwhile, snow monkeys are often hated and chased away by people in other areas in Nagano prefecture because some snow monkeys damage crops. So it is almost impossible to take this kind of video outside of the area of Jigokudani. As a local farmer who loves snow monkeys, it is very stressful to see snow monkeys being culled in the countryside. It is also very stressful for me to talk to local people who detests snow monkeys.
