@lygaiva: You’re not meant to have a flat stomach when lifting heavy. Your belly should expand. That’s called bracing. It’s how you create pressure to protect your spine and stay strong under load. But women have been taught to always keep their stomach flat, pulled in, controlled… even in the gym. So instead of bracing, they suck in. It might look more aesthetic on camera. But it’s not how you lift safely or get stronger. When I brace, my torso expands. That’s what keeps me stable and allows me to lift heavy without my lower back taking over. So if your stomach never changes shape when you lift… Either the weight is too light or you’re not bracing properly We’re not here to stay small. We’re here to be strong💪🏻
