I decided to test this out. I started flossing (with Burst floss!) about a week before my Sept 2025 appt. I decided I would floss 1-2 times a day and see if it actually made a difference at my March 2026 appt. That was today. Truly made the BIGGEST difference. The pokey tools did not hurt and my gums didn’t bleed!

I have relatively healthy gums, no gum swelling. But when they probe my gums they don't bleed but it still really hurts, my hygienists weren't sure why because she saw how healthy my gums were😭

I floss 3+ x a day and brush 2x and water floss at night. I never bleed. My dentist tells me how great my teeth and gums are.

Okay question currently can’t floss my teeth how can I keep up on my gum health while waiting for my permanents? I only have two teeth that are not crowns that I can floss at the moment. And also had laser done on some of my gums to show more teeth last week 😫

I’m not a dentist but I work in a dental office and honestly If it feels like it hurts you may have deeper pockets 🤷🏼♀️deeper pockets means bone loss and it MAY feel more sensitive to the point it is painful
