We didnt say our vows in public. We sent each other a hand written letter when we were getting ready on our wedding day. and that was our vows. It was sweat and intimate. I have pics of those letters till this day

Have the officiant interview both of you & name your favorite things/memories etc of each other & then the officiant can talk about those in the ceremony!! That way it’s personal to yall but you’re not the ones saying it. My sister did that and it was sweet

We did “traditional” vows like the basic vows. And then during our couples portraits, it was just us and the photographer we did our private vows and it was so special!

We were the same way and so we did a letter to each other the day before then just said the traditional vows on the altar🫶🏼

We’re doing our vows privately ahead of the ceremony & then again in front of everyone publicly! Best of both worlds. Get the nerves out, save the special moment for us, and give ourselves another moment to hear it again and take it in with our friends and family to hear !
