Some friendships and relationships stay toxic even after you have the uncomfortable conversations so the only thing to do is cut them off. Not everyone can change.

Julio :
Feeling the feelings did it for me.
I treat anxiety and sadness the same as I treat joy: I allow them to wash me away without questioning or judging them as good or bad.

Question.
They said feel your feelings.
How do you sit with anxiety, avoidance, fear, pain, the uncomfortable feeling, the hurt, or anger?
I genuinely dont know how and dont know I'd be doing it right

Needed to hear this. I am now starting to FEEL it WHILE also actively having a routine and it helps sm more than just pretending like everything is okay!!! It’s not okay but I can get it out by going on walks and getting upset instead of TRYING to look happy!

Healing is a spectrum just like everything. It ebbs and flows. I have needed to go no contact. I have needed to cut people out of my life. Some of them I came back to but there are others who will never experience the grace of my attention ever again.

Number 1 hits so true. I used to be praised for my dedication to the gym. my diet was perfect, I could lift heavy weights. I thought the discipline meant I was recovering when innreality I was avoiding sadness and healing with pumping iron and being angry
