A green nail is due to trapped moisture… this isn’t really the nail tech fault.

As a nail tech!!’ This isn’t always from the nail tech girl! This is a greenie and is caused from the product lifting and water going underneath trapping bacteria! It will die when in contact with the air alone! This is why regular infills are essential 🥰

1. No reason to sue her 2. vinegar wont do anything it just has to grow out 3. this can happen from just the slightest bit of moisture getting in and is a very minor mistake

It’s not always the tech fault!! It’s caused by moisture and almost always when there is lifting and you don’t go to appointments on time and wait to much..

As a nail tech… u have no idea if that’s actually her fault it’s most commonly pockets where trapped moisture is and the bacteria grows not necessarily her fault but could be

Greenies are from moisture. If you wear your nails 3 weeks+ OR whatever time metric your nail tech recommends for YOUR nail beds, then you will have lifting… it’s inevitable once your nails start growing and the structure is impacted. If you don’t take care of the lifting by getting the nails removed OR getting your nails infilled, moisture WILL go into that little pocket and cause a bacterial infection aka greenie. Also, if you don’t wear gloves while washing dishes, you take long baths where your hands are submerged in water etc. that also affects likelihood of lifting and therefore greenies. Wipe your nails with 70% isopropyl alcohol daily and avoid moisture. Air kills the bacteria immediately once it’s dry and comes into contact with oxygen. No this doesn’t mean you can apply product after since some mollecular bacteria can still be alive and the greenie can come back worse. You will have staining on your nails for a few days or weeks but if you wait a few days before getting your nails done, you should be all good. Pharmacists can also assess and diagnose this, since we as nail techs are NOT medical professionals 😂

greenies happen cause moisture has been trapped under, if they’re lifting u allow greenies and u should have them off, tech isn’t really responsible bar her nails lifting after 2 weeks 😓
