What if you asked the crew what’s a dish they miss from their childhood or home that they don’t get on site and try recreate 1-2 of them a week?! Might help with inspiration on days you can’t be arsed. Love watching your videos 🤍

What if you looked at skills you want to learn and focused the meal plan on that? Eg make your own pastry and try a short crust, rough puff etc. it’s still a pie that the guys will like but you get to try new recipes/skills.

If you have the time, play around with some stocks and sauces as a lot of outback chefs forget as it’s easier to use the flours.

@Un-boxed art: do you make your own bread? You could make burger buns, dinner rolls, cheese and bacon rolls, pizza scrolls? Make your own pasta? Then I am thinking themed food nights…out on some matching music…so Italian night - pasta,bread, salad and mini pizzas cooked to order. Vietnamese - spring roll, Bahn mi, bun cha, Bahn su Chen things that aren’t to out there but make it interesting for you too…you could do American food nights, Thai, South American, French.

I like to do the 3 ingredient sweets with my little love! We make scones and shortbread! They don’t take super long to make, and my kid loves to cut the biscuits into shapes lol

I’ve stayed at a camp where the numbers were up and down a lot, and when numbers were low it was all run off orders. At breakfast you got a dinner menu and you could pick what you wanted for dinner and desert, and what time you would be there and it would be a plated meal. Same at dinner time, you’d get a menu for breakfast and smoko and what time you wanted it, then get there in the morning and you’d have a plated breakfast and your smoko packed for you 😊
