it’s because high oil costs pushing operational costs up businesses and government services are becoming more expensive so in order to maintain economic easement the “safe haven” is sold to counter the longer than expected expenses. Once the strait opens and oil drops below $80 per barrel you will see it go back to $5000

Gold is down because investors shift interest to what is scarce to make profit- Oil oil spikes up due to war and blocked strait of Hormuz which has created scarcity. Investors would rather sell gold at a higher price than buy currently so attention shifts to where there is more profit. Till peace is made before things normalize. Let’s not forget the market spike on Feb 27-28th so easily till Oil supply became a problem before it dumped
