@animalwelfareguy: Call came in for a house fire with several dogs inside. By the time I got on scene one was already deceased but we were able to pull 8 other dogs out and get them to safety. The house was thought to be vacant but some homeless people had broken in and been staying there. 6 of the dogs recovered were returned to their owners and the other 2 I brought back to the shelter because no owner was present. The 2 I brought back were treated for smoke inhalation as they were the closest to the fire. It’s really lucky that firefighters got on scene as fast as they did because it could have been so much worse with none of the dogs having a way to get out. #animalwelfare #animalrescue #dog #puppy #fire
