Tomorrow remains an ordinary day for the Reer Aw Maow Family. Our position has not changed, and no official endorsement is scheduled for tomorrow. Insha Allah, the Maow Family will announce its preferred gubernatorial candidate in December 2026, once the ongoing consultative process is concluded. Until then, we wish our cousins from Reer Aw Mohamud all the best as they prepare for what is expected to be two separate endorsements involving two of their sons. Dear Wajeerians, please treat with caution the information being circulated by some mini-bloggers, TikTokers and Shah Macan-based commentators claiming that Maow has endorsed Yahya Dahiye as the sole Matan gubernatorial flag bearer. Such claims should not be mistaken for an official community position. Much of what is circulating appears to be based on rumours, speculation, misinformation and unverified reports, rather than any formal communication from the Maow Family. The selection process for the Reer Aw Maow gubernatorial flag bearer remains ongoing and is expected to run until December 2026. Once the process is concluded, the community will make its position known through the appropriate channels. Until then, disregard unverified reports, resist political misinformation, and await the official communication from the Maow Family. No endorsement has been made. The decision remains pending.
