i had pocd as a young teen and I genuinely thought I was evil and should k*ll myself. I know that it's really not the same thing but just being more open about this topic would have really helped me. What really matters is making sure people who have these feelings, but haven’t harmed any children, feel safe asking for help. That’s how we actually prevent kids from being harmed. Her speaking up and sharing her story feels like a step in the right direction.

understanding doesn’t mean normalizing. understanding allows you to take steps at fixing it. the woman actually sounds like a decent person bc she acknowledges it’s wrong and doesn’t want to hurt anyone.
