@blueacregarden: Once the last petals drop, the real work begins. What you do now determines next spring's show (seriously!) First, deadhead the spent flowers. Snip the flower stalk down but leave the foliage completely intact. Those leaves are not just sitting there. They are photosynthesizing and sending energy back down into the bulb, recharging it for next year's bloom. This is the part where most people go wrong: they see the yellowing, floppy leaves and want to tidy up. Resist that urge. Do not cut the foliage. Let it die back naturally, which usually takes about six weeks after blooming ends. During that window, you can apply a light dose of fertilizer high in potassium and phosphorus to give the bulbs an extra boost. Once the leaves have turned completely yellow and pull away with no resistance, you can remove them. If your clumps are getting crowded and bloom quality is declining, late spring is also a good time to mark where you want to divide. You can lift and separate the bulbs in fall when you are doing your other planting. The short version: deadhead, feed, and then practice patience. Your future self will thank you next March. #daffodils #springgarden #gardeningtips #plants #tiktoklearningcompaign

It seems many of our daffodils haven’t flowered this year - so lots of green leaves but no buds. What are your thoughts on this? Thank you

I do the rollup method, but used one of the leaves from the bunch that i rolled up as the tie. I wrap the longest leaf in thag bunch, wrap it around the roll and tuck it into the wrap.

My daffodils come up and have beautiful leaves every year, but I’ve never once got a flower on them. What am I doing wrong?

I have a huge cluster of daffodils at my new house. I want to divide them and move them to a different area of my garden. When's the best time for that?

I roll them down, but instead of using a rubber band I take two of the daffodil strands wrap it around the fold down and tie it in a knot
