No agenda. Just freedom, time, and a food court. ⸻ 📵 Making collect calls just to say “come pick me up” You knew the system. And the system knew you. ⸻ 🌙 Simply not being reachable 24/7 You disappeared for hours. Sometimes days. And no one panicked. ⸻ None of this was labeled “dangerous.” None of it was called “brave.” It was just normal. And maybe that’s why it sticks with us. Because it trusted kids to figure things out.
