This post is very quick to criticise a train type that has reliably served Hong Kong since its metro first opened in the 70s. You’d be surprised to know that almost all A type (the highest capacity standard for Chinese metro) trains were based off the size and layout of the M train. These trains (ave been in service for 47 years, which is longer than the standard lifespan of most modern metro trains, including those built in China by Chinese companies, which are generally only intended to operate for about 30 years. Do your research and don’t be so harsh just because something is the product of a previous political regime.
