That’s damn fast, basically nothing! Great to see! My old station house here in the US used to have us stay fully geared at almost all times, although our radios and the crossbody slings they’re attached to stayed in the rigs, we didn’t keep those on when walking around the station. That meant that when the alarm went off with a medical call, we just had to run to the rig, hop in, turn the key to start the thing and get on our way. Then we strapped on our radios and got call information from dispatch in the rig while on the way. Also, since I was at a 24 hour station (ie working 24 hour shifts and not 12’s) we all slept when we could, and we weren’t required to keep our boots on when we napped (the rest of our gear yes, boots no). That’s the only time we could be less than fully geared besides when using the bathroom or if we had to shower after a messy call. That’s said, most people kept their boots on when napping anyway and just slept on top of the blankets on their bunks. Made things easier yk? So the question of how long it took us to roll out depends on where in the station we were. If we were in the kitchen or the workout areas (both right on the first floor by the rigs), like 7ish seconds to run across the floor to the rigs and get going. If we were napping in bed than 20 seconds ish to run from the bedrooms upstairs out to the living area in the loft and then down the stairs and over to the rigs. If someone was showering or in the bathroom then it takes a bit longer to get going.
