@dynastianofficial: Footage from 1936 shows Robert Wadlow, an American man whose height reached 8 feet 11.1 inches (272 cm), making him the tallest person in recorded history. Born in Alton, Illinois, his extraordinary growth was caused by an overactive pituitary gland, a condition known as hyperplasia, which led to continuous production of growth hormone. Despite his size, Wadlow lived a relatively normal life, though he required leg braces and assistance due to limited sensation in his limbs. In 1940, while appearing at a public event, a poorly fitted brace caused a blister on his ankle. Because he had reduced feeling in his legs, the injury went unnoticed and developed into a severe infection. He died shortly after at the age of 22. His case remains one of the most well-documented examples of extreme human growth, and a reminder that even the most extraordinary physical conditions can come with serious vulnerabilities.
