Finally got to check off bunny island from my bucket list during our Japan trip🐰😍🏝️ We were a bit worried about how to get there so if you’re thinking of going, make sure to save these tips!👇🏼 - plan on staying in the city of Hiroshima - there is a bus that goes straight from Hiroshima to Tadanoumi but it only comes every hour so plan accordingly! - we rode the bus for 1hr and 45minutes so I recommend bringing lots of water and snacks - once you get off the bus, you walk about 5 minutes to the ferry station which has a store selling the ferry tickets, bunny food and souvenirs (I recommend bringing cash!) - the ferry doesn’t come that often so I recommend checking the schedule especially for getting off the island - the bunnies rely on tourists for food and water so definitely bring some extra water with you so you can fill up their water bowls around the island! Some bowls are further from the ferry stop and don’t get filled as much - no extra food can be left on the island to prevent predators so make sure the bunnies finish all the pellets you bring - you probably only need 1-2 hours total on the island but there is a walking path where you can walk around the whole island if you really wanted to In total we paid ¥720 per person, round trip which is about $4.50.
