the tongue has very big veins which contain a lot of blood. if you get cut in your tongue, you will bleed a lot. i had an incident once where my teeth were through my tongue and i hsd to sit in the hospital. i almost bled out. so its pretty dangrous. (if you want to try something innocent, try brushing your tongue with a toothbrush. not too soft, but also not too hard.)
