HOW I DID IT 📌 ⤵️• cleaned w dish soap + water (got all the grease off first) • sanded everything w 150 grit • vacuum + microfiber (don’t skip this… dust will ruin your finish) • sprayed oil-based primer (best for bleed through + adhesion) • light sand w 180 after primer • sprayed 2 coats of tan paint (this is your “wood base”) • brushed on oil-based glaze + worked it in sections • softened w a deck brush + added grain w a broom (this is the magic part) 👉 if you mess up, just smooth it out + redo it • let dry 24 hrs • mixed my “toner” = water-based topcoat + a little brown stain (1/2 qt topcoat : ~1 tbsp stain) • sprayed 3 coats, LIGHT sand w 400 between coats ⚠️don’t sand too hard or you’ll mess up the glaze this is way easier than it looks once you try it 😅

use paint thinner/mineral spirits to save some time sanding, it scrapes right off then you do a light sanding, saves time and sandpaper/paint since you don't have to cover dark tones. looks great keep it up
