@guyinthesnow: the utter discomfort and pain of this movie is the perfect depiction of how dysphoria feels to me. i hope this resonates with someone idk #isawthetvglowmovie #isttvg #edit #foryoupage #trans i saw the tv gloe edit to forward beckon rebound by adrianne lenker

I think the beauty of this is that when I first watched it I totally understood it was about dysmorphia but I missed that it was about gender dysmorphia specifically, when I found out I genuinely cried a bit because it made even more sense and im happy for any trans people or anyone struggling with their identity who saw this and felt seen. I’m sure this hit like a rock for them but being represented in such a beautiful way that not everyone will understand because it’s shown has a horror movie which, in today’s society quite honestly being LGBT and more specifically in this case trans is terrifyingly scary with not being able to tell people or being scared of not being accepted

this is seriously a movie i cannot watch again. everytime i see an edit i, for a split moment, think “i should watch that again” and then my stomach immediately locks up and chills run down my spine. it’s simply a horror movie to me. i cannot do it.

My dad hated this movie because he couldn’t understand it. Most people i’ve spoken to about it hated it for the same reason. It meant so much to me though, it felt like watching my brain and experiences be morphed into something easier to digest. It breaks my heart every time i see it.

this movie made me realize i was trans because i understood it so deeply and sobbed while watching. for the next year, i went back and forth with myself brutally. i knew i was right and i had felt this way my whole life, but i was buried alive for so long, it felt wrong to finally admit it out loud at 22. it was a long year and the knowing never went away. proud to say i’m nearly nine months on testosterone and for the first time in my entire life, i actually want to live and see a future for myself. transitioning saves lives. this movie was the first time i ever felt truly seen.

I will never get over the scene with the tv, it’s so accurate to how it feels but it’s nothing like it at all.
