@melrobbins: The connection between your gut and neurological disorders is SHOCKING. According to Dr. Trisha Pasricha, a gastroenterologist and professor at Harvard Medical School, we now have strong evidence that Parkinson’s can start in the gut. Here’s what’s surprised me: 80% of people with Parkinson’s have GI symptoms. Constipation, nausea, trouble swallowing, trouble having a bowel movement. And for many people, those gut symptoms show up years - even decades - before the tremors or diagnosis. This is why you should stop brushing off your gut like it’s “no big deal” and listen to this episode of The Mel Robbins Podcast with Dr. Trisha pasricha. It will change the way you think about digestion, gut health, and yes, even poop. 🎧 “The Gut Health Episode: Harvard Doctor Reveals What’s Normal (and What’s Not)” Tune in on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or YouTube — search “The Mel Robbins Podcast Gut Health” #melrobbins #melrobbinspodcast #guthealth

What I would do for an hour with this woman! My dad had Parkinson’s, had severe constipation and so did I. I found a way to get through the constipation and I haven’t felt better in my life. And when I say constipation, I mean going once every 14 days.

I won’t have issues with that then. I go 3/4 times a day on average 😩 which can be annoying, but being blocked up feels just as bad too I suppose.
