@bloomandgrayflowerfarm: If you’re just starting a flower farm or cut flower patch Chickpea is a really good alternative to perennial foliage if you don’t have anything established yet. It has delicate ferny foliage that holds up great in a bouquet. It’s super easy to start from seed, I prefer to use larger cells or pots to sow into since the seeds are quite large, but pop the seed in about 4cm deep and place at a temperature of 17-25 degrees and wait for it to germinate which should take 7 to 10 days. Once the risk of frost has passed they can be planted pretty closely together in the field at 6-9 inches. Its easy to cut the side branches off to get stems that are good for bouquets and arrangements, which last 7-10 days in the vase #gardening #cutflowers #flowerfarm
