A search for a newlywed who disappeared from his upstate New York home has ended in tragedy. Dominick Bianchi, 35, was found d*ad in a wooded area after going missing from East Greenbush, just south of Albany, local police confirmed. Bianchi was last seen Tuesday morning at his home. He left behind his cellphone, wallet and car. His family had serious concerns about his safety. Bianchi had type 1 diabetes, and relatives feared he did not have his insulin with him. His wife, Julianna Zyra, whom he married only months earlier, had publicly pleaded for him to come home. She also said he had recently been struggling with his mental health. As the search continued, police asked residents to check their properties and surveillance cameras for any sign of Bianchi. Then came the news his loved ones had been hoping not to receive. Police confirmed Sunday night that Bianchi had been found dad in a wooded area. A cause of death was not immediately announced. “The East Greenbush Police Department extends its deepest condolences to Dominick’s family, loved ones, and all those affected by this tragic loss,” Detective Sergeant Michael Guadagnino said. Authorities also expressed their “sincere gratitude” to community members who helped with the search.
