Audio check ins are a FERPA violation. There is private information for every student that should not be privy to others. If I’m in a class and helping a student with an IEP near your child-you having access to that information on a recorded device is illegal.

Schools have excluded parents from schools. Locked doors, no teacher meetings. Yet parents are the first to catch blame if something is going wrong. Parents should be allowed to help out in classrooms and have lunch with their kids.
