Girl every liberal arts college has an honor code. I have never once been discouraged from proctoring my students but it is a good hook for your videos.

My school had a very strict honor code I’m sure some people cheated but when we had profs leave the room for tests no one was talking, no one was on their phones, and it didn’t seem like anyone was cheating

Also schools with honor codes usually have STEEP penalties for cheating. Like automatic failure of the class or getting kicked out of your program etc. So with risks that high lots of students won’t risk it.

I had a professor do this in one of my upper level classes. I never cheated, but other people talked to each other. I feel like in the real world you’re going to be able to problem solved with your coworkers and it’s not all about knowing everything.

To be so honest as a grad student where half my professors proctor and the other half don’t (all quizzes are done online) I find myself doing better on the exams without proctoring because I’m significantly less anxious going into the exam when I don’t have to open lockdown browser
