You may have to rewire the lamps. I brought my fave from California, plugged it into an adapter in London and the lightbulb exploded a minute later.

Brit living in America here American voltage is super low vs British the lamps will blow as soon as you plug them in! I had to change everything

So allot of things in England are solid wood super good quality. Also make sure your lamps are dual voltage. The voltage here is higher.
