My 11 year old son argues about EVERYTHING. He also is a master negotiater. He tries to negotiate himself out of doing anything we ask him. When we tell him to do something, we make him do it but the constant arguing is so so exhausting.

My daughter 15 she is smart and she is talking a lot sometimes and sometimes feeling tired because of school work but lately she doesn’t like to go outside except school I ask her to go to restaurants parks or invite friends she keeps saying no she likes to stay home and play relax in her free time I started wondering about this

I asked my 11 year old to get dressed the other day. She literally screamed at the whole family for over an hour. There was no reasoning with her so we climbed in the car and left her at home for an hour to calm down.

My kid is almost 12 he’s not pushing me away, he’s grown more independent but he’s so thoughtful and and acknowledges that I want his presence and to him to engage with me and express love kindness and thoughtfulness. He’s also quite expressive of his views in such a mature respectful way.
