disagree cables are rated to certain tensile strengths and such so you putting an extra 20kg can be the difference between stretching the cable out and not

are you saying I can load 10 additional plates and it won’t break?? 😳😳 then what changes if its just one additional plate above the limit? of course there are margin for some extra weight but once you reach that limit it will definitely break

A 5mm galvanised steel cable (most common gym cable) will break if loaded over around 1350kg or 13.5kN so a gym pin won’t make much of a difference
