Hi! Quick question about Logic Pro: When I comp vocals inside a take folder, everything sounds fine. But when I flatten it into a single track (Shift + Option + U), I sometimes get phasing or robotic artifacts on certain words. I’m using automatic crossfades — could that be causing the issue? Or is it possible that overlapping regions are creating phase problems when flattening? Have you ever experienced this or know how to fix it?

Logic Pro’s step sequencer can be used as a dedicated effect modulator. I love to use Phat Effects for this because you have access to so many different modules, filters and even LFO’s, but another cool plugin to try is Remix Effects. You can create some really great rhythmic glitch sounds that compliment the sequencers functionality. One of the most powerful features though, is the ability to modulate smart controls. If you’ve created custom instruments, or effects using smart controls, the sequencer can modulate them. Awesome. 😎
