I did the EXACT same thing (vanity and all) last year and I love my glam room. I did a few of the Target bookcases and used them for my shoes, bags, and other accessories, but I bought the IKEA PAX system for my clothes

I used two bookshelves and attached the rod between them a command wall broom holder on the top of the bookshelves. It’s tall enough for my maxi dresses and it didn’t require drilling.

That regular size hanger doesn’t even fit to the backside so you can’t even hang it. Definitely recommend the kids size with velvet hangers.
