I would add a paragraph in your return policy that says something along the lines of…….“Due to the increasing use of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital image manipulation, we require clear video evidence for all damage related return or refund requests. Photos alone will not be accepted as sufficient proof of damage.”

Yes it's happened to me and my reply was - Due to the suspicious circumstances we believe this is a fraudulent claim. We are in the process of gathering all the evidence and will be reporting it to the Police. Once the Police have conducted their investigation we will then be able to move forward with your claim.
Has worked very well for us and saves wasting huge amounts of down time going through any complaints procedures through platforms.
