Intel will never come close to amd. 9800x3d is a gaming chip compared to even an i9 Intel cant compete in gaming. in regards to productivity, people are not buying 9800x3d they are using threadrippers which destroy any Intel cpu in productivity by a long shot

I’d have to get a new mobo if I wanted to switch to intel so the price would be more than a 9800x3d and intel is planning on switching its socket this year so there won’t be much of an upgrade path compared to am5 which has another couple years

Yeah only thing is the 9800x3d is still beating all of intel's chips at that price and the 9850x3d is even better for like 50 bucks theres literally no point in choosing intel unless your trying to be different 🤷
