@melbfeastclub: Still dreaming about that Moreton Bay Bug pasta 🍝 📍Cordelia - Carlton 🦪 Torched Oyster ($7ea) ⭐️ 🐙 Octopus and Merguez Skewer ($17)⭐️ 🐚 Scallop ($14) 🥩 Beef & Wallaby Tartare ($25)⭐️ 🦞 Bug Pasta ($39)⭐️ 🍞 Milk Bun by Falco Bakery ($7ea)⭐️ Cordelia, named after the Latin meaning ‘Daughter of the Sea’, champions local sustainable produce and seafood, and brings a laidback vibe that fits the Carlton North wine bar street™️ neighbourhood. For starters, torched oyster was moreish drenched in smoked bottarga butter, while an equally decadent snack was the charred octopus and merguez skewer with saffron aioli. Beef and wallaby (sourced from the head chef’s family farm!) tartare had no gamey taste, with an earthiness to it from sliced beetroot and farro for some chewy texture. Moreton Bay bug pasta is a must-order, with its silky seafood bisque sauce clinging to long strands of pasta, along with one of my fav bakery’s charred milk bun for a perfect scarpetta. The menu shifts almost daily, guided by whatever is freshest and most in season, with seafood dishes built around what’s been caught that day.
