🌪️ 𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐧’𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐞. ❤️‍🩹 Some days, I feel like there is a storm constantly spinning inside me. A tornado of emotions, thoughts, fears, frustrations, sadness, and even happiness that I can’t seem to make sense of, let alone control. The downdrafts of emotions that pull me down. The overwhelming sadness that comes out of nowhere. The fear of rejection, abandonment, and not being enough. The loneliness that creeps in even when I’m surrounded by people who love me. The exhaustion of feeling like I’m fighting a battle inside myself that nobody else can see. The moments when I question myself, my worth, and why I can’t just feel like me again. The updrafts that suddenly lift and intensify everything. The moments of happiness, hope, excitement, love, and gratitude. But also the anxiety that rises without warning, the frustration that turns into anger before I can process what’s happening, and the racing thoughts that make the smallest things feel enormous. Sometimes I can go from laughing and feeling perfectly fine to being overwhelmed and emotional within seconds. The outflows are what happens when everything building inside me finally spills outward. The words that come out harsher than I intended. The tears I can’t explain. The irritability, misunderstandings, defensiveness, and reactions that don’t always match the situation. The desperate need for reassurance, comfort, understanding, and connection. Sometimes the people I love most feel the effects of a storm they didn’t create and may not even understand. And that’s what hurts the most. Because underneath all of it, I’m still me. I’m still someone who loves deeply, cares tremendously, wants to find joy in the little things, and desperately wants peace. I recognize when my emotions are bigger than the situation. I recognize when my reactions aren’t what I want them to be. But recognizing something and knowing how to stop it are two completely different things. I don’t want to be angry. I don’t want to cry over things I can’t explain. I don’t want to overthink, misunderstand, or feel like I’m constantly fighting against myself. I just want the tornado to stop spinning long enough for me to catch my breath. I want to feel grounded again. I want my thoughts and emotions to make sense. I want to respond with love instead of fear, patience instead of frustration, and understanding instead of defensiveness. Most of all, I want to feel like myself again. I’m trying to remember that even in the middle of this storm, God hasn’t abandoned me. He sees the chaos I can’t explain, understands the feelings I can’t put into words, and knows the peace my heart is desperately searching for. Because even when the storm inside me feels stronger than I am, I know God is stronger than the storm. ❤️🙏🌪️
