depends where you live and what you do. Non-experts can live well in the villages where rent is 5-10k for a small house, not necessarily in Oslo, where tiny studio cost 15k NOK per month plus expenses, and salary (net) for simple work is approx 20-25k after taxes.

A medium income in norway pay 30perxent tax of income. And if u have a mortgage then u probably pay 25percent tax of income only, because of the mortgage. Only way u pay 40perxent tax is if u earn 100k kroner and over per month
