Medical anxiety is very real & very horrendous. My oncologist told me "I'd lived too long". I now struggle with every medical appointment & I have 3 over the next 2 days. Big hug. Xxx 💜

Pregnant moms who have experienced what you have experienced are super fragile! And your team should know that you 100% HAVE TO BE HANDLED WITH CARE!! What you went through was AWFUL AND SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED! I’m so sorry that provider dropped the ball today! Tell your doc what you’re feeling! They HAVE TO be ON GAME with you! It’s an absolute MUST!!! Much love beautiful lady! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

“My” GP of two years and 4 prescriptions in. Said, on my 3rd visit. “Oh have we met before?!” I mean, I know you see a lot of people but did you not refresh yr memory before you called me in. I’m menopausal and I need a doctor who gives a fuck. It only takes one shit healthcare experience for the anxiety to lay foundations. You have been through a lot. Totally understandable hun x

it doesn't matter if was a big deal or not......if you didn't feel heard than it is a big deal, especially if you've had past trauma. I really feel for you Jaz...I really hope these next few weeks settle a bit for you xoxo

There is genuinely nothing worse than feeling like you’re not being listened to by a doctor. Especially when you’ve had previous trauma. Your feelings are 100% valid, take time to sit in them. Xx

Feel all the feels, vent, process, and then report it to your regular OB. You should never feel dismissed, ever.

My 1st birth was horrible. When we decided to get pregnant again , I had to remind myself to make sure my doctor knew my worries. When it was time to deliver. The doctors took extra care of me. And everything was fine. Communication is key. Make sure your heard.

Dismissive is passive aggressive and you are well within your rights to feel the way you feel

Sharing was the point. Processing is important. I am sorry care providers were dismissive. That sucks. And you deserve better.

sometimes it's personality, some people are just doing a job, others are doing what they love. it doesn't matter what you were discussing, because it was important to you! you deserved better, and I'm sorry you went through that 🥰

I think sometimes doctors forget that while they may be confronted by a situation every day, the patient may only deal with it a couple of times in their life.

When you pay for an appointment, you expect the Dr to give you undivided attention during that appointment and regardless of malfunctioning computers, not being able to download files etc they should still be able to still answer the questions that were important to you. I can see how this can be unsettling and triggering for you. I would certainly be voicing your disappointment about the dismissive treatment and how it left you feeling at your next appointment.

Imma nurse and yes Drs are dismissive and it’s not right. Even when I’m pushed for time, giving someone 5 minutes to feel heard is important! More important than whatever else is trying to claim the time. Because that 5 minutes is the difference between a good or bad experience and feeling like you’ve been heard is all that matter’s! Deep breath, you have you plan in place and nothing is chafing that ❤️
