I just took my toddlers to one yesterday and it opened my eyes. The public Easter egg hunts are a prime example of the greed in our society and how it becomes generational. These were the people buying all the toilet paper and cleaning supplies when they had enough already. There’s always enough eggs for every child. These parents are stealing the eggs or not teaching their children to be respectful of other kids and only take a handful of eggs so everyone has a chance to get some.. I’m teaching my kids that it’s not that serious, you don’t need to try and take as many as you can.

Only one I went to had different sections roped off for age groups. In the toddlers, you couldn't carry them. They had to walk on their own and get their own eggs. If your toddler needed help with mobility, they put more eggs in the infant area that parents could help with. Parents were not allowed in the groups above toddler unless a fight broke out (mobility accommodatios were done on a case basis). They were STRICT about these rules.

Parents never cease to amaze me no matter what kid activity, event, sport etc it is. We were at my 9 year olds daughter lax game last Sunday and my daughter was open in front of goal and I said “Ivy is open, pass!!” And the parent next to my husband and I yelled back out and said “NO NO (their kids name insert) is open to side, she’ll get the goal!!!!!” Like….ummmm are we in pro or a little 9 year old league….? 😬 Some parents think their kids are so much more important than everyone else’s.

I HATE it.....my kids want to do all the fun town activities but when we get there it just ends in them getting disappointed because they have manners but other kids dont. now unfortunately I try and keep them in the dark when the town announces something 😕

My kids are 15 and 20 and it’s been BAD since they were toddlers . There used to be lots of big prize tickets on eggs, I’m talking Play Stations and gift cards. Things got SO brutal they has to stop the big prize eggs
