I mean, google literally had to reverse engineer airdrop to make android devices compatible with it, Apple literally didn't even try to help, so as google improves it overtime speeds should improve (or hopefully if Apple sticks their head of the sand they may actually help make airdrop and quickshare universally compatible, but thats probably asking too much)
