@iamwillatherton: One of my favourite breeds has to be the Spaniel. They might be smaller in size, but they’re a big package when it comes to energy, drive, and intelligence. For the right person, they can be an incredible companion. They’re highly trainable, full of life, and thrive when they’ve got both a job to do and time spent with their people… but they do need structure, guidance, and consistency. Without that direction, their intelligence and drive can easily spill over into unwanted behaviours—but when you get it right, there are few breeds more rewarding. If you’re considering an active, versatile dog with plenty of personality, a Spaniel is definitely worth it.
