I never wanted kids and ended up having 2. I love them but I do regret it and I wish I had of stuck to my guns rather than giving into my husband at the time. I wish I had of waited until I was older to actually decide.

that's entirely your decision and it should be well respected. however someone who does want kids shouldn't live life regretting they never had them because it was something their partner never wanted. if two want different things that's absolutely okay. but to me I wouldn't see it being compatible for those reasons. thats also not a bad thing, just means u may not be quite right for one another

Just my two cents, but getting a kid isn’t like getting a new hobby, you can’t just sit it down and pick it up when you feel like dealing with it again. Kids change everything about your life and if you’re a good parent, they take up pretty much all your time especially early on. So if you’re not ready for that, if you’re not willing and accepting of that, I wouldn’t suggest changing your mind because if you can’t give them that, then you’re not giving them what they deserve.

You're young, but that doesn't mean that you dont know your own mind and what you want. I completely agree with what you said about regret, and changing your mind is always an option in the future if that is what you want.

I think it’s so sensible to think this way. Having kids are not for everyone, and unless you want one, it’s better to be childfree. Loads of my friends love their lifestyles and don’t want to compromise on that by having kids.

don't do it girl. if you aren't 100% sure you want them don't do it. that is an actual person that you need to raise, shape and mold into a functioning adult. it takes time, effort, nurturing and a whole lot of patience. it is an 19+ year commitment.

personally, i think if you don't want kids the absolutely don't have them. It's not fair on the kids to have a parent that doesn't want them!

Knew before i looked at these comments they'd be full of 'you'll regret not having them, I didnt want any and I've got x kids now, blah blah blah'. Anyone saying no one regrets having kids is lying or thinks everyone is the same as them. 🤷♀️I'm 39 in a month and never wanted kids. I have kids in my life who I absolutely adore. But do I want them? Nope. Dont listen to anyone else and decide based on you and your feelings.

I had my baby at 18 and trust me ITS HARD WORK, but do I regret having her? Absolutely not. Although I do have times where I miss my old life and having that freedom because that’s something I don’t have anymore. Honestly girl your mindset is absolutely in the right place!!🩷
