Sad how often people get a want for their arrest and have never received any documentation or notice to appear. The system is broken and needs to do better

I went through a divorce and was never notified by the courts I had court date. Luckily I was on top of it and called and figured it out but to this day I have never received anything from the courts for anything except when I was served. This happens so often and I feel there should be other options than going to jail in some situations. Cop discretion should be allowed
