I didnt wanna rate it too high (which i did) since this is ep.1 but yk it was very good so 8.9 Ingredients: Chicken and marinade -500g chicken thighs skin on -2 Tbsp Soy sauce -2 Tbsp Mirin -1 Tbsp Sake -1 Tbsp Sesame oil -Pinch of Msg -1 tsp White pepper -3 cloves garlic -15g minced ginger -1 tbsp Cornstarch Dredge: -Per 100g Potato starch -2g salt -1tsp White pepper -1 tsp Garlic powder -1 tsp Ginger powder -A buncha oil to fry obv Method: 1: Dice ur thighs to abt this size->👌 idk so maybe like 2 inches diameter 2: marinate ur thighs with the ingredients for abt at least 2 hours but ideally much longer. 3: mix all the dredge ingredients. 4: coat the chicken in the dredge and kinda rough it up a lil to give it more surface area which = more crunch 5: fry the chicken at 160°C / 320°F for abt 5 mins 6: then double fry at 200°C / 390°F for abt 2 mins 7: Sprinkle on sum shichimi togarashi if you like a bit of spice 8: rest for a lil while so you dont burn ur mouth 9: serve w lemon, kewpie mayo and sum thinly shredded cabbage. 10: proceed to eat the karaage and end up leaving the cabbage. #friedchicken#karaage#japanesefood#rating#chicken
