Color me impressed! I got the chance to take out the Olive Knives “Arbor” Bushcraft Knife today and I would say it surprised me, but I had a feeling this thing would perform well from the moment I held it. Some of you may have not heard of Olive Knive, I sure hadn’t before this year (They are a relatively small USA made brand) I got the chance to meet one of their founders and the designer of this knife at SHOT. The enthusiasm and confidence they had in their knives was contagious. I had them send me a handful of their models so I could check them out and this is the first one in the series. It’s also one of those knives that you buy and use for a lifetime. The pattent-pending Fibonacci grind features small descending steppings in the blade grind that splits the wood away from the surface of the knife. This allows it to be a more frictionless, cutting and batoning experience. The handle is comfortable as heck, crowned along the tang of the blade and no hot spots at all. The G10 looks rich. This knife is available in several different colors, but I prefer the classical look of the black. They even added a 90° spine to a section of the blade to make it a good ferro striker. Even the sheath was cool- I like the adjustable nylon strip that you can move to carry a drop leg or scout style.

If you’re a fan of @tkellknives Nightstalker series, you should be excited for the Nightstalker CG. There has been a lot of improvements to the (already good) profile. Added step milling, refined more stabby profile 😬 . Like seriously man look at all these awkward angles I was throwing it out and it was still sticking into that wood. Another cool thing they are bringing to this model is a new American-made steel. They didn’t tell me what it was but they said they have been throwing it through some rigorous testing and our really excited with the performance it has been achieving. The Nightstalker CG is not available yet, but it should be soon.
If you’re a fan of @tkellknives Nightstalker series, you should be excited for the Nightstalker CG. There has been a lot of improvements to the (already good) profile.
