Just to clarify, the videos I saw talking about him were videos specifically critiquing this video of his and simply calling him weird, saying he is “doing too much” and saying that he is simply bad🤨. I saw videos and comments of people saying HE as a person makes it look bad. I wanted to defend those claims. It is NOT positive critique to saying someone as a person makes something bad, WHAT DO YOU TAKE FROM THAT? “Oh I’m just gonna change how I am as a person.” Nowhere do I talk about hiphop dancing and nowhere have I seen him calling this hiphop ‘CAUSE IT’S NOT. If you use a single hiphop move in a routine it does not make it a hiphop routine! Throwing one Krump move in a routine does not make it a Krump routine. Having a hiphop foundation does not mean you choreograph hiphop (not that I know what foundation he has).

THANK YOU!! That man is a creative genius idk what anyone says. Idk what this revisionist history with people calling him a bad choreographer is all about when Gnarly went from universally hated to a viral hit the second the live dance performances dropped. He’s not afraid to get WEIRD, and that’s exactly what art needs to shake things up and evolve.
