Everyone in the comments are tripping. Yes you pay for good quality tattoos but EVERYONE is overcharging. Years ago Friday the 13th was $13 for a 1in tattoo. I tried going this year and it was $70 for a 1in tattoo. The shops are out of their damn minds.

Y'all gotta understand that inflation has heavily hit tattooers and the industry just as much as its hit every other trade/good. We have to raise our prices the same way everyone else has, stop shaming artists for not charging 2005 prices anymore and start caring about quality work! Tattoos are a luxury not a necessity!

Tattoo shops do be overpricing. I finally found someone who prices fairly. Got a whole half sleeve done for $400. I tipped her $100 so I only paid $500 for the whole half sleeve

imo- overcharging backfires. If you charge small or make a cap of the amount youll charge, its gonna bring in MORE customers and make it so you always have work. i know an artist who never charges more than $400/day. You can sit in his chair all day getting as many as you want and it'll never be more than $400. He has a waiting list for months out. Every day has work. If more artists did that, they'd be chillen

I’ve never spent $100 on flash sales . And the least amount I’ve spent is $30 before tip and the most I’ve spent is $75 before tip 😂
