Everyone arguing imo doesnt know how to drive stick. There are times for almost every technique. Whether it be engine braking and downshifting constantly to keep rpms up to slow down, or just brake in gear, or neautral than brake. Everyone who actually drives sticks knows when and why. Those situations are almost ever changing. If you cannot change with thise situations. Then you lack driver awareness

The second method is coasting. In most countries that's a fail because it's viewed as not being in positive control of the vehicle. You should be in correct gear or a nearly correct gear at all times in case you need to maintain speed or accelerate suddenly

Break pads and rotors are a lot cheaper that a clutch and gearbox! This is just silly
