I feel your pain. I had surgery in December and I don’t know how much longer I’ll be out of work. The doctor keeps adding time to me “getting back to normal.” Like between regular bills and medical bills I’ve depleted my savings. I have to figure something out. 🙏🏾

You may want to consider moving. As soon as I moved, my salary doubled and cost of living is much less. I miss STT but I don’t miss living paycheck to paycheck.

I have these ebbs and flows of feelings. Some days I feel super hopeful and ready to ride things out…and some days I wake up feeling completely defeated (as I write this the power goes off 🙃). The most we can do these days is to feel fully into the days where hope peaks its head.

Going to the grocery store makes me so anxious. I don’t have a car but I need one because public transportation is so touch and go here but this is the worse time for this and my family think it’s weird I don’t have kids as a 30 year old. I can barely afford a damn cat. 😅

I feel you. Best job I’ve ever had, doing a job nobody around me can do, and rent is 70% of my income. That’s not even with the inflation in the VI. You asked for some hope, so here is a poem that has been helping me. “White sun behind mountains glows, (白日依山尽) Yellow River seawards flows.
