@johndelony: He hurt you in his sleep. That doesn’t make him a monster. But your body still feels unsafe. Both are true. Get help. Get a plan. And decide to be on the same team. Delony FULL EP. "I Don’t Feel Safe Sleeping Next to My Husband"

I woke up this morning to my gf telling me I punched her last night in the face. I had no idea I had done that but she said she went to move closer to me and I ended up punching her and telling her in my sleep to leave me alone. I looked it up and now I’m watching this video to find out what’s wrong with me. I hate that I hit her and I wouldn’t ever lay a finger on her.

Ugh, so freaking hard. Whether it's RBD or something similar help is available. And it takes time. We are working through diagnosis and interventions right now. I'd add that to adjust sleeping environments in the mean time. Not just to protect you, but him too. We've had several emergency room visits after he leapt out of bed in a dream. Sleeping bags can help, padding, and separate sleeping places until medicine can replace the missing paralytic for their sleep.

I had to sleep in another room. I went into a prone as my dream was being in a support by fire position. Meanwhile in reality my wife’s head was on my arm. She didn’t get hurt but until I worked the CBTs it had to stay that way.

Dr. Delony is hitting on something vital here. For the high-performer, Safety is the foundation of Momentum. If you don’t feel safe in your own bed, your 'biopsychosocial noise' is through the roof. You can’t lead a team or scale a vision when your primary relationship is in a state of protection rather than contribution. This isn't just a marriage issue; it’s a physiological barrier to your success.

The amount of literal children here comment's on something they know nothing about is frustrating. Nocturnal violence is more common and normal than you think. Stop with the judgement. This man clearly did not do this on purpose, as anyone who has been in a dangerous relationship knows, there are many other signs of abuse than just a single violent outburst, which he does not exhibit.
