@allysafety: 👷♀️ Here's why a Type II hard hat may make a lot more sense for you than a traditional Type I - even if you're like me and don't like the chin strap. #hardhat #hardhatlife #safety #safetyfirst #besafe
The people who sit in an office all day that occasionally come out to the floor are the ones that want type 2

As a CSP myself working as a PSM engineer, I learned the hard way that we need break-away chin straps!! The chin strap close lined myself. I get the logic, but I think we as safety professionals need to go back to the drawing board, or remove the option of a full brim shell hard hat

If it’s between wearing a type 2 or losing a paycheck, I’m choosing to wear that Mf. I think the chin strap is stupid but it’s just a hat

This is fact. I died when I fell and wasnt wearing a chin strap. 2nd time I died, I was wearing the chin strap and my head was fine, but I got cut in half by landing on a piece of sheet metal. Always use the strap.

Why does it hurt so bad when you hit your head on something with a type 2 on vs a type 1. As a mechanic my neck hurts bad every time I hit my head even lightly with my type 2 studson. Never had neck issues the last 10 years with my fibremetal. After 5 months with the new one my neck hurts all the time.

I didn’t want to switch until I actually wore a Type II, and they are better. I initially gave my guys the choice and they prefer the Type II as well.
