I remember the first night we went back home after losing our baby boy! My other son was 2.5, he was playing around the house meanwhile me & hubby were both on the corners of our couch completely lost. My toddler kept asking for food/snacks. I remember it took so muuuuuch for me to get up and feed him & put him to bed. I always say if he wasn’t around it would’ve been so so much harder. 🥰❤️❤️

As a mother that lost a child, I got that all the time. In fact, I still hear people say it. I am older and wiser now. I use it as a teaching moment and tell them how hurtful those comments are. We all wished in the moment that the earth would swallow us and the pain would stop. Yet, here we are still alive. We are survivors. Chin up momma. Its been over 30 years for me. My life has been good and moved on from overwhelming grief. There are still some days that bring me right back to that day and I let myself cry and stay sad. but the next day...on with life. 💙

You have no choice. You get up and go through the motions every day. You are never the same but life goes on. The unfairness of it all hits you like a ton of bricks sometimes and you lose it then you pick yourself up and keep going on. There is no good answer other than you just have to.
